Dynamics GP is one of Microsoft‘s ERP solutions for small and medium businesses (SMBs). For existing users of Dynamics GP thinking about when to upgrade, Microsoft is offering an excellent discount if you move to Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Microsoft is offering a 40% discount on licences to users of Dynamics GP if you upgrade to Dynamics 365 Business Central. This discount applies until the 21st June 2021 and is available on cloud and hybrid deployment options. This will be good news for users of older versions of Dynamics GP.

The discount available reduces Dynamics 365 Business Central licences to:

  • Essential – £31.67 (previously £52.79)
  • Premium – £45.24 (previously £75.40)
  • Team Member – £3.60 (previously £6.00)

The licences are per user per month. If your organisation has 20 core users, this would equate to a saving of over £10,000 if you upgraded in June 2019. This is a huge saving that could be used to pay for a considerable percentage of the cost of implementation. See our implementation package for Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Dynamics 365 Business Central is a next generation solution that has a number of new advanced features, powered by the Azure. We recently wrote an article comparing Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics GP.

Dynamics 365 Business Central is an all in one business management solution that provides the opportunity for businesses to transform their business processes with a modern cloud-based interface. Dynamics 365 Business Central starts as small as you need with just 1 user and, more importantly, scales as your organisation grows. Dynamics 365 Business Central offers finance capability and combines this with operations, sales, projects, manufacturing, service management and supplier management.

Dynamics 365 Business Central is embedded with intelligent reporting and dashboards utilising Power BI to provide personalised insights at every step. It also has embedded AI capability to help you manage stock, choose suppliers, improve cashflow and predict potential overdue payments.

Dynamics 365 Business Central has access to Microsoft PowerApps and Flow as standard, allowing you to easily extend the capability available. This offers process automation and custom mobile apps for your employees using a simple drag-and-drop interface to build apps for a whole range of purposes (see our article on extending Dynamics 365 with PowerApps). If you need additional functionality a wide range of third-party add-ons are available from Microsoft AppSource.
