In October 2022, Microsoft announced that it was transforming its partner program from the Microsoft Partner Network to the Microsoft Cloud Partner Program. As part of this evolution, Microsoft also announced it was retiring its Silver and Gold competencies, replacing them with the introduction of its Solution Partners Designation.
