Neil Logan is set to discuss the Scottish tech ecosystem review directly with its author, Mark Logan, early next month.

Published in August 2020, Mark Logan’s Scottish tech ecosystem review was commissioned by the Scottish Government and provided recommendations on how to develop a world-class technology sector. Mr Logan’s report recommended and outlined ways of creating more jobs in the sector, increasing investment in startups and improving access and levels of computer science education in schools.

Discussing the Scottish tech ecosystem report, Finance Secretary Kate Forbes MSP, who commissioned the report, said, “This report provides an industry-led blueprint for the Scottish tech industry, outlining the actions necessary to elevate the sector to a world-class level.

“There can be no doubt that Scotland’s economy faces significant challenges as we emerge from the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. I believe tech companies have a central part to play in this recovery, so helping them to flourish is now more important than ever.”

Mark Logan is a Scottish entrepreneur who helped Skyscanner gain a market value of over $1.5 billion during his time as Chief Operating Officer. Mark will join Incremental’s CEO, Neil Logan, to dive deeper into his report and discuss his key recommendations.

Neil Logan said, “I am looking forward to discussing the Scottish tech ecosystem review directly with its author, Mark Logan early next month. The report outlines the key actions required of the government and the tech community to accelerate the Scottish technology sector to the next level. I am keen to discuss with Mark how we make this a reality.”
